So I just wanted to add my twist on this awesome little idea. I did something similar to Clodstall to make it possible to use a servo winch if needed. All the parts came from the TLT kit. This pic shows all the parts. -Bearing -standoff -locknut -short link The little bearings fit perfectly into the cantilever and the gold standoffs fit them perfectly. The locknut will fit into the housing a little bit recessed and will allow you to adjust the link without having to trim the link. What you want to do is put a drop of CA on the housing at both ends to hold the nut and bearing. Put the standoff through the bearing with the fat end INSIDE the cantilever. This prevents the stand off from pulling out and also gives you a smaller diameter for more cable. Next, thread the short link into the nut and add a drop to of thread lock to keep it from moving and put the two parts together. The white stuff you see over my rollers is just heat shrink tubing, but you can use whatever you want. It just keeps the two gold standoffs together and gives you something to glue your cable ends to. I still have to put endcaps on mine and make up a fairlead as you can see, but overall that’s about it. Hope that helps somebody out. Tom |
