I have an excellent question.

If the scale rules are not even out yet, then why are guys already building their trucks for certain class's????

The only builds I have seen lately are TTC builds Norm. Not too hard to tell where they are going to go based on Tim's post.

There will be 3 classes.

Class 1. Class for the scale purists, 4.19" max tire height (all max tire heights are by manufacturers listed tire height), Tire mods are not allowed in this class.

Class 2. Modified to highly modified trail trucks, 4.75" max tire height, siping and lug removal legal (no reduced or enlarged tires, must be stock width).

Class 3. TTC/KOH/extreme trail rigs, 5.75" max tire height (tire mod rules to come).

As of this time, we are not releasing any more information. Please refrain from asking any more questions, because we will not be able to answer them.

Thanks, the Scale Committee.

I am building C3 trucks, but anyone building a 1.9 truck right now, I would think they have some inside information.

I wouldn't think so. Take a look at the fact that it's already been stated that C2 will be the class for trucks like the honcho. With the tire size it's obviously a 1.9 class. Doesn't take a huge leap of faith to figure what kind of truck will be in this class. Of course, I've got the inside info so maybe it's easier for me to see that

Stupid question here. I've seen a few guys starting on C2 rigs which is fine. But for the rest of us who don't have inside information I thought I read somewhere in the 600+ postings which got deleted that C2 would have a tire coverage rule? Which is why I thought my honcho truggy was screwed and would need to be put into C3 since it was @ about 1% in the rear. So if a stock honcho is to go up against 1.9 TTC or truggies are we going to have a problem? Since i thought I had a problem with my honcho in C2 I started converting my 2nd honcho into another rig.

The thread that you are referring to had absolutely nothing to do with any rules that are actually being written, so don't get worked up yet about something that hasn't happened. That was simply a discussion trying to get some ideas.

You'll have your answers soon enough...
