Default The new rules rock but still wondering?

So i love the new rules put up and they are better than they were before but i still wonder about the frame. I am building a complete custom frame and the rules say all of the allowed frames but nothing about custom frames. i was wondering what would be allowed and not allowed for class 3.

Pretty sure in Class 3 any kind of chassis would be allowed as long as it fits within the rules. So you can build a custom tube chassis or base it off an SCX10 chassis or bend your own C-channel or square tube chassis if you'd like. As long as it meets the rules, it'll be fine....i.e., no twin vertical plane comp chassis and such. What do you have in mind? Maybe some of the folks here could help clear things up for you?

I am going to start a build thread soon, I just have to get a working camera first. I am trying to make this scaler as cheap as possible so far the only thing I have needed to buy are the axles. I was going to make the frame out of just some 1/8in steel but I dont have a welder or anything so everything will have to be bolted together. This whole build is going to be a learning experience.
