Default SORRCA wants your input!

The SORRCA committee is looking for feedback from the scale community, We want to know what works for you and why.

We as a committee have decided not to mandate the application of scale points for the 2011 season. We recognize that the organization is new and we can't possibly know everything. So we're opening ourselves up to the public for advise. As the clubs run through out 2011 we want to know how your club applies scale points and what worked and what didn't. Several of us have run large events and have been running local series' but every club is different.

We do have recommendations to start from:

SORRCA also recommends that a minimum of 0-30 be used with a maximum of 50-80. Anything less than the minimum does not qualify and anything more then the max is not awarded, and only the points above the minimum are deducted from your score

SORRCA recommends scale points be awarded on a per course basis at 50% of a vehicles usable value (rounded down if necessary). With the average deductions being 15-20 points per course for a max point truck.

We encourage clubs to play with different setups and find what works best and report back with practical experience. Your input helps improve the the Rules and Specs for everyone

NWARC will look at this and get back with you.
I still think it should be up to the event organizer or club. This is just my opinion. I a team player so what ever the team says.

We Have been running something very similar to G6 here locally this will be the third year actually..

I will say it is really more of rules for a competition. then it is rules for trucks..

You could insert any truck specs rule set in front of the driving portion and run that.. the fact that they have almost no truck spec section makes it pretty obvious that was part of the plan..

15-20 minutes would be a record run Sometimes a good USAS course takes an hour

NO running required, slow and easy wins the race.
