The way it sits right now with R1 axles and AX10 bead locks. I'll post the measurements when I get home. With AR60's and stock Wraith wheels. |

I was thinking this might help, is a scale calculator for scale military models. I had a hard time getting over the fact that my 1.9 C2 truck was so much smaller than my 2.2 C3, a full size F-350 and a Jeep both supposedly 1/10 scale according to Axial and Tamiya! Scale calculator Maybe there is a similar tool out there that can be used. And maybe C2 is more like 1/12 scale and C3 is 1/10, or C2 is 1/10 and C3 is 1/8 scale. And maybe I should post this on a different thread, just want to help. |

Not exactly from the front or top but this should work. 11.25" track width, 7.25" inside tires, 7.75" wide at the sliders. This is the widest bodied class 3 I have seen yet, its a wonder it can even get out of its own way. I hope this helps Tim! |

OK, not sure this is what your were looking for but here we go. FOJV Buggy and it is A SCALE REPLICA! 12" outside of tire to outside of tire. 7 3/4" Inside to inside 1" between body and inside of wheels (But see last picture) Its kinda hard to tell to be honest if it is 1" or less. Body measures 6 1/4" from side to side. Last edited by team3six; 10-29-2012 at 07:27 AM. |

I can change the offsets on my rims. And where I took the picture if the measurement is not at the widest point. So now what? |

Why am I doing that? Why would I sacrifice any kind of performance for less? Im already at 6 1/4 across the body at the doors and the back cab. Anyway, I'm not gumming up this thread with haterade either. You want to debate this, debate it in the other thread. Leave this for its intent. |

All I know is that the rigs that look the most realistic proportionally are the ones with the tires closer to the body. All the rigs with an inch on each side between the body and tires look like "honey I shrunk the body" rigs. Norm is close, and an offset change can get it closer, but many of these rigs just don't look right compared to the 1:1 (or theoretical 1:1) On the other hand, some of the rigs posted with bodies closer to the tires aren't very scale looking on the whole, but that's a matter of execution, not proportion, which is what this thread was getting at. |

Well now that I have the body size and the Inner tire to tire, its at 3/4 each side. But the offsets that mayhem provides with these wheels are what works best with the VP gear. So I don't know. |

We have c1 and c2. They look scale. C3 does not look scale with ar60s. How much of an advantage do they have in comps. Enough for a lot of people to spend allot money to convert over from an ax10 axles. Now if we outlaw the ar60s. There will be some disapointed venders and some pissed people that spent a great deal of money on there aluminum ar60s. "On the other hand, some of the rigs posted with bodies closer to the tires aren't very scale looking on the whole, but that's a matter of execution, not proportion, which is what this thread was getting at. " Its not just the axles........ So how much do we want as scale and how much comp. 60% comp and 40% scale. Good luck Tim and the rest of the rule committee. Very hard choices Evan | |

AR60's can look scale, but with a larger scale body since they are larger than the AX10 scale (jast as AX10's are larger scale than MRC axles) I hope the rules committee doesn't outlaw any specific part being used, but rather sets limits that make these rigs more in line with realistic proportion. Enough talk though, let's see some more pics. |
