Would your club like to be a SORRCA member?

Our mission statement :

SORRCA was established to provide a uniform and defining set of rules and regulations for anyone interested in holding competitions for scale off road R/C vehicles. With the emphasis on scale realism as well as promoting fun friendly events.

With the scale rc off road competitions soaring, SORRCA is focusing on developing new clubs to become members of the association.
What we ask is when holding "Competitions" you follow the set of rules the committee has established and re-defined over the last few years.

All current rules and vehicle specs can be found here SORRCA.com

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your club is following our rules and would like to be added to the registry, please submit your information here:
SORRCA Club Registry
If you have any questions ABOUT THE REGISTRY please PM Locked Up.

If you have questions about the rules themselves, please post in the general SORRCA section.

Do clubs have to run the rules as is or can we modify them?
Our club follows the rules except we allow tire mods in C2... which I think SORRCA should too. ;-)

Local clubs are allowed to make light modifications to the rules for there own events. I don't see tire modding as something major. I will keep your request in mind when discussing the rules for 2014.

One thing to keep in mind is that when there is a big "National " type event all rules apply. So if you ever have the opportunity to attend as of now the modded tires would have to be changed.

yup, I just picked up a set of 1.9 IROK's for the RC4WD East Coast event.

Adjustments to the tire rules seem to be the biggest changes from club to club.
Which makes sense - the average guy buying a RtR wants to come out and play but most likely wont make a cross country trip.

Nice! One of my favorite scale tires on the market.

Sounds about right, but now that I think about it I'm a pretty hard core scale guy and I don't think I would travel more than 5 hours one way for a event:oops:

All for the love to comp.....
18hr one way last year for NWSC.
Flying to PA for RC4WD comp.
