Does the twin hammer still fall under the class 2 rules. I thought i saw that in the 2015 rules but don't see anything specific in the 2016 rules.

Truggy doesnt have frame rails .... I smell a trick question ! Cuz I know you that

Shock hoops are only attached to the frame in one location also, but the rule doesnt state it has to be connected at more than one point.

Cant call it a tube bed, it is doved to much

I see a roll bar, but is it bed mounted if there is no bed ?

What gives sucka ?

Hahaha, no trick on this one. Tagged you on fb over it. This is a zach frick build and has totally blown up. Thinks it's worth a bunch of points. I see shock hoops and a bumper. That's all.

I would give -1 for 3d SUV cargo area.

Another question:
What's the verdict on Class 1 vehicles with bumpers bolted to the body?
Like the china 2-door JK, tamiya or rc4wd HiLux or this one:

The front and rear bumpers are bolted to the body.

So legal or not? Points or no?

I vaguely remember something about this from way back but can't find it.

Or I'll just make some L-shaped brackets and attach them to the body with the screws that hold the bumper and bolt the other end to the chassis. Legal and points.

I agree with this^^^^^
But have to ask:

Looks like KLR's on this rig so i'm assuming its a C2?

If that's the case, does this tube work justify a dovetail and have to be 1/2 the width of the cab at the doors?
I know pics can be deceiving, but I don't think it would pass tech based on that alone...

Why wouldn't a flat chunk of metal count as a bumper? There's nothing in the rules except that it has to be wider than the chassis at the place where it's attached. And plenty of off road vehicles just have a piece of box section as a bumper.

But in this case isn't that a chassis crossmember?

That's more of a drop bed than most I've seen. I'd be inclined to give it drop bed points.

The rules state that the bumpers can be mounted to the body to be legal for class 1, but must be chassis mounted to get scale points.

Hard to give a definitive answer on something with just one crappy picture.

I would lean toward calling it a crossmember with what I can see. Do you think something deserves scale points if you look at it and wonder what it even is?

Had someone ask me if Predator Tracks are Comp Legal. And if so, what class would they fall into?

I could'nt give an answer to that... So I turn to you!

Since one of the measurements is over 4.75" (front to back of the track assembly) it would have to be only legal in Class 3.

Will this work for inner fenders or do I need to do something different?
