Only by a play on words. Manufacturer wrote "Provides knuckle weight". Would love to see everyone's weights legal. Would like to see it go to vote through the entire community.

We need clarification. SimoCanto86 (Member of the Regional Committee SORRCA Italy) in the post number 93 has asked you if a vacuum formed body in ABS (thickness of 1.5 mm ) is hardbody or not. Same request for commercial Kamtec ABS vacuum formed body. Unfortunately you have responded in different ways: Post number 95 War Pig writes: Quote:
hardbody: can a 1.5/2mm thick abs vacuum formed body like this: Quote:

To my personal opinion, it's right to reward the hard body (ABS manufactured by molding) because they limit the performance due to the high weight and stiffness. In the case of vacuum formed body in ABS , the weight is lower than a body lexan (the specific weight of the ABS material is less than the specific weight of Lexan material) and they are not as stiff as the body manufactured by molding. I ask you kindly to provide a single answer, we have already seen some manufacturers declare these vacuum formed ABS Body SORRCA Legal...... but we would like to be sure of your judgment. Thanks in advance

| Re: 2016 Scale Rules Although it's not spelled out that it must be on a rim, it's ridiculous to think a spare tire without a rim should get points. It has to be a spare tire that you could put on your rig and use to get points. Incorrect....see above. Again,it's not spelled out in the rules what constitutes a hardbody. As of right now, a vacuum formed ABS or styrene body can receive hardbody points. It's something that is being discussed and voted on in the scale rules committee. There's a REALLY good chance that any vacuum formed body will not receive hardbody points in the upcoming future. The scale rules will be quite a bit different for 2017.....just keep that in mind. |

I would definitely support that if/when it comes up, but it's not currently on the already lengthy docket.

(Just require "anything brass must be painted to appear scale") People already weight the inside of their wheels. It's just harder on cvds and drivetrain parts... Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
