Twin hammer classification?

Does the twin hammer chassis still fall under the class 2 rules. I thought i saw that in the 2015 rules but don't see anything specific in the 2016 rules. I'm planning a class 2 build off of the twin hammer chassis and just want to make sure before I start this project....thanks in advance!

Stock it is Class 3.

The body is too narrow at the doors to pass for class 2. Needs a front bumper too. Don't know about the chassis length.

Re: Twin hammer classification?

The Twin Hammer is a tub chassis like a Tamiya CC-01 and is allowed in any class as long as it meets the rules for that particular class.

I'm also interested on the chassy question...can we use the stock chassy as it is or not?

Re: Twin hammer classification?

Yes the chassis is a tub and is allowed in c1, c2, and c3 however the "stock" twin hammers does not fit body wise in class 1 or in class 2, 1 due to lacking a lot. as for class 2 it is lacking the first rule listed below.
"• Body/cage work must be at least 4.5" tall (including boat sides) and the inside of the front tires cannot extend
outside of the width of the cab at the doors."

"thumbsup" hope that helps
