| c2 front bumper
I have a couple questions about a front bumper for class 2. In the rules it says the bumper must be wider than the frame rails, would a bumper that bolts to the outside of the frame rails (such as the scale shop comp style), but is no wider than the outside of the rails be legal? Second, what qualifies as a bumper, i have seen aluminum rod cut and mounted, flat aluminum stock cut mounted flush across the front. We are a small group trying to run by sorrca rules and i want to keep everything as legal as possible. Some comps i have been to says the bumper has to be 1/4'' wider than the rails and has to be more than flat stock mounted to the frame. Just wonder if there are specific guide line. I serched and could not find any. Thanks in advance.

If it bolts to the outside of the frame rails then it's wider than the frame rails. A bumper is something that fills in the gap between the frame rails to protect something. Whether that's a winch, the radiator, a grill or ? we don't know. Just use common sense and make it so nobody questions whether it's a bumper. Weld a hoop on it to protect the grill and you get an extra point. Enjoy!

Sorry for all the questions guys. Are slidders mandatory on a class 2 truck if the body comes down to the frame rails? Thanks. Read about boatsides, and slidders for point's, but never saw if they are mandatory.
