Are you saying that chassis cut from flat stock are not eligible, or does this comment have to do with material?

It has nothing to do with material or being flat stock, the ytown chassis is what's called twin vertical (TVP). TVP is not allowed in SORRCA

I asked because google yielded this chassis as the result found in this thread Y-Town Undercover Agent Scale chassis I thought that the TVP referred to comp crawler type chassis and something like the AX10 chassis.

I thought I was building a class 1 rig, and used a chassis like this one. Im pretty sure when doing my research I came across a thread where this type of chassis is ok. Well so much for that.

A board member can correct me if I'm wrong, but if you cut what I marked in the pic, then that will make you legal

I've seen a number of y-town scale builds. I think they're legal. That center section is just reinforcement between the link risers. Not exactly scale, but is already in use in sorrca competition. Just don't build a Class 1 if you want to run it next year.

The center sections on say an ax10 tvp sideplate are just there for reinforcement also arent they (legit asking, not being sarcastic)? Ive seen a few builds too, thats why I am asking - if this isnt over the TVP line I dont know what is.

My chassis does not have that type of center reinforcement

These chassis' are legal for all classes this year, and Classes 2 and 3 next year. The Y-town Undercover Agent is about as far as you can go without us "making another chassis rule". They really all look the same once the truck is built and driving around.

Are full 3d points given for the pro-line pl-c interior? It's 3d but molded from one piece of lexan. https://www.prolineracing.com/bodies/pl-c-interior/

Nope, because:

The interior must be deep enough for a scale figure from the knees up.
Also I think the steering wheel is part of the floor. It would be a cover.

Alright guys I asked this question before with no response. I am working on a new build and would like to know whether or not I will receive hardbody points if I use wood for the base material of my body. I have used it before and it was an easy material to work with. The rules state that bodies must be plastic or metal. I am trying to see if this is an oversight.

Here is an example of my previous build and I can assure I would put greater attention to detail into this new one.

Thank you.

My bad. Let me put it this way, if you do it right and it looks like a 1:1 then wood is fine. If some bozo makes a box out of balsa wood sheets it's not going to fly.

So you are saying if I make it look like an actual truck it will be good then right? I really liked it for my body as the body held up real well. This one has competed at least once a month for the past two years. I didn't take it easy on it either.

Yup. Really when finished well no one should be able to tell the difference between a styrene body and a wood body.

So if I chop the molded steering wheel off and replace with a 3D piece, it qualifies? Don't want to buy a new interior just to get full points, I'll just mod what I have to get it. This pro-line fits my rig perfectly.
