Yes they can.

Can anyone tell me if a TRX 4 chassis meetings Sorrca rules/regulations? With 1.9 4.75" tires would make it a class 2 from reading the rules. But once I add my Tamiya Bullhead hardbody with custom rear cage from My Vaterra K-10 I'm unsure if it's still class 2 or even meets any Sorrca rules

Is this type of transfer case not legal now due to rule changes? Axle mounted to pass over for multiple axles.

you mean points are given even if i run the handmade body i bought from another guy, even if he make several of that to resell (commercial product) , unless it is fully built from scratch?

as for rollbars, what if it is mounted on a 2d interior cover (like the dingo interior which is 2d and part of the lexan body) ?
no points because it has to be mounted on the floor of a 3d interior?
what about rollbars mounted on the china 3 door jk, need to be mounted on the floor in the front as well, or it's fine to be mounted on the dashboard/hardbody?
and add a couple more questions:

- how many points for this?
https://www.prolineracing.com/bodies/pl-c-interior/
i know it has alredy been discussed but forgot official response about it in the 2018 rules, considering it is one moulded lexan part but has all elements required, dashboard, steering wheel (or you can easily add a separate one for better look), floor, seats and side panels.
A legal scale knee up scale driver like the White plastic ones from tamiya or rc4wd would easily fit in it.

- inner fenders: is it ok to get scale points if i have a flat black panel (made of styrene, plastic, scrap lexan or even adhesive tape) mounted parallel to the frame rails covering the empty space between chassis and the underneath of the body?
Or it's necessary to have fully closed "round" wheel arches like this?
https://store.rc4wd.com/Front-Inner-...dy_p_3831.html

same to cover electronics to be sorrca legal, is it enough a flat panel to hide electronics when i look from the side of a rig, or do i need closed round wheel arches so i cannot see any electronic part even with a 3/4 view?
no problems if winch or led cables are still visible?

Dear wonderful SORRCA committee,

I would love to see DIG in class two. Thanks for the consideration.

I think they are done answering questions this season. Try again next year.

After the uproar over the new rules added to the 2018 book, I think they got tired of getting punched in the face.... Two notably are the shock hoop rule and the C1 tub chassis rule, which makes rigs that have competed for years not legal. That is a big reason why a lot of clubs are running off of the 2017 book and basically ignoring the 2018 rules, or just making their own rules.

I'm confused about the class 2 rule "Axle housings must be plastic".

Class 2 says it is for stock RTR and kit vehicles, however many scale kits come with aluminum axle housings. So are those kits excluded from class 2?

Thanks, and sorry if this was already discussed, I've been trying to find the answer few a couple days without success.

Or maybe the idea of a different sanctioning body scare them Shyteless and after crying about it destroying the scale comp scene decided keeping their collective heads down avoids having them up their arses?

where do you read that in the rules? axle housings can be made of whatever material.

Nothing in the rules about axle housings

He is referring to the "Light" rules...

http://sorrca.com/rules/SORRCALight2018.pdf

Class 2 “Stock” Details (Pg 4).

The reason for this rule in this class is at the top of the page:

This class is designed for entry level drivers to get to experience competition and to attract new people to the hobby and to have FUN!!!

In other words, a new kid with a bone stock SCX10-ii or Ascender feels a little intimidated when the drivers ahead and behind him have more invested in just one of their axles than he has in his whole rig.

It's nice to see that there is now a class 0 and a "stock" class 2 - thanks guys

With a total of 5 classes there should be something for everyone now. I especially think the stock class may play a critical role in attracting newcomers to the competitive side of this great hobby we have.

Are we allowed to bolt through the body to secure the bumper to the cross member? I hope so. It is a lot cleaner look than post, clips, and bolts through the side of the body. If needed I can post a pic.

It is on the second to last page of the "2018 Rules & Specs" link...

"Scale Points: Scale points are to be awarded at 50% of a vehicle’s total value (rounded down if necessary) for an average 10 gate course.

Minimum/Maximum values are to be determined by the event organizers or local clubs. Scale points will be applied to a DNF but not to a DNS. *No items can be counted more than once unless noted otherwise* "

In other words, ask your club how many points they max out at. Our local club give 20 points automatically and maxes out all classes at 60 points.

Having cut my teeth in comp crawlers, I am not a big fan of scale points. But, this is "scale" competition, and they do reward the driver for putting extra work into his/her rig. If I had my way though, I would give 60 max points to C1 (that is the class that is supposed to have the most scale detail), 40 points for C2 (strap on those expensive Proline accessories), and 20 points for C3...
