Default Two piece chassis rails ok for Class 2?

Can Class 2 rigs have two piece chassis rails? As in a front part and rear part being bolted together in the middle skid area?

Kind of like the RTR rigs that have adjustable wheel base where one C channel slides inside another. I believe these rails are legal for C2 but wonder if you can do the same with a flat composite rail.

Thanks!
