Really dumb question...

What is the formula for calculating overall score for a given course/class?

Scale points
Progress/Bonus
Penalty Points

I am used to scoring without scale points, and just using progress and penalties. Are scale points applied to the overall score of all courses?

Example:
The truck has 35 scale points
Course 1: All gates progressed = -20 pts; Penalties = +42; Course total = +22
Course 2: All gates progressed = -20 pts; Penalties = +25; Course total = +5
Course 3: All gates progressed = -20 pts, with 1 bonus for a total of -22; Penalties = +6; Course total = -16
Class course total = +11
Subtract Scale Points for a Course Grand Total of -24

Is this it?

Thanks.

Half your scale points are subtracted from each course.
So if your rig has 50 scale points then you subtract 25 points from each course.

Hope that helps.

I know this has been asked a lot of times already. But what is the real definition of the following:

Chassis must have metal frame rails with a Maximum Vertical Rise of 2" and ZERO "Sporty Lean". Must be a single rail per side, however adjustable length chassis (like the Ascender) are Class 1 legal. All chassis must have a skid plate that is parallel to the rockers. If present, shock hoops must be bolted, brazed or welded to chassis.

ZERO "sporty lean"? ex toyzuki v2 chassis has a leaninf skid? and is this rule carried over to class2?

thanks

kind of curious as i do not really see in the rules anything clarifying winching specifically, is a winching point anything a person wants to winch off of as i have seen shoes, a walking stick, a cane ? or is it supposed to be to a natural anchoring point. if so can somebody point this out to me in the rules since i am not seeing it. thank you for your assistance

Yup, it's raising the skid in the back similar to a TZ, Gamechanger, ect. That rule is not applicable to C2, only C1.

It's typically recommended to be something fixed as if you use a shoe, or 'winch stick' like you see at Nationals and it moves it's counted as an assist. Trying to winch off your hand or something would be a bad idea as these things have tons of torque and it's almost guaranteed to move or hurt you. It does not have to be a natural anchoring point.
