Class 2 bumper question

Hey ya'll,

I made a metal stinger bumper for my 10ii, but I'm not sure if it's class 2 legal. In the rule book it says as wide as the chassis, but my bumper is as wide as the bumper post holes. Would they consider that illegal? I don't have any pictures on hand, but you can see it here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...erience-8.html

Re: Class 2 bumper question

This is directly from the Sorrca rules:

A front bumper is required and must be mounted to the vehicle's rail
chassis and must be wider than the outside of the chassis rails
(chassis cross rails do not count as bumpers).

I believe the bumper must mount to the outside of the chassis rails if it is a bolt on bumper. Since you are using the stock cross brace, and the way that I read it, it may not be legal. I think if you were to add a horizontal bar to what you have and it was wider than the chassis rails, then it would be legal.

Ok, I do have a plastic bumper I can throw on just to be safe. "thumbsup"
