2017 Pitbull Tires King of the Cascades rules:

OBJECT: Fastest time wins, no scale points given.

Race Format:

This is a scale race modeled after KOH. Racers will start in groups according to Class. There will be two classes and 3 sub classes:

Classes:

Pro- 3 laps around the 1/2 mile course. More difficult gate placement. For the competitive guys.

Adventure- 2 laps around the 1/2 mile course. Easier gate placement. For the guys just wanting to have fun.

3 sub classes-

Tiny tire (4.19" and under)
1.9 (4.2" to 4.75")
2.2 (4.76"-5.75")

RULES:

1: HAVE FUN!

2: TRUCK: The truck must be scale in appearance. MOA is not permitted. Tires must be scale in appearance.

4: ROLLOVERS: Must be performed with a winch, strap or strap & hook.

5: GATES: Minimum gate width is 20". There is no maximum gate width. If the driver hits a gate, with any part of the truck OR with any part of their body including shoes, clothing, or radio, they must first replace the gate (if needed) and second, the driver must pick up their truck, move back one gate, and line up the rear axle to the gate. NOTE: Failing to replace the gate marker and/or driving your truck against traffic on the racecourse will be considered unsportsmanlike conduct.

6: On Course Repairs and Battery Changes are allowed - The truck may not be removed from the racecourse for repairs. Once the repair is made, the truck must be placed as close as possible to its last known race position. The timer must stay active during repairs and battery changes.

7: TOUCH: If the truck makes contact with any part of the drivers body (including clothing, shoes, and radio), the truck must be picked up and moved back to the prior gate and line up the rear axle with the gate.

8: TIMER: Timers will not stop for any reason while the race is active.

9: JUDGING: The honor system and/or course judges may be used. In the case of blatant cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct, the race director can ask a driver to exit the racecourse.

Rules Stipulation:

The Race Director may modify the rules to accommodate persons with disabilities.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EJECTION FROM THE RACECOURSE AND OVERALL RACE:

"Race Rage" type driving and/or behavior. A driver may not with malice cause damage to the course, other trucks, or obstruct another driver's progress with his/her person or truck. HOWEVER, a driver is NOT obligated to give the right of way so another driver(s) can pass as long as the said driver is actively engaged in the race and is not acting in an unsportsmanlike manner.
-Skipping a gate.
-Ignoring course direction.
-Not finishing the race with the truck you started the race with.
-Running the wrong class truck.
-Starting or finishing the race with an out of spec truck.
-Making modifications after the truck has been teched and checked in.
-Berating, antagonizing, intimidating, or otherwise harassing other racers, spectators, or race officials.
-Racing under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
-Failure to respect wild life or other animals that may find their way onto the racecourse.
-Any other conduct that has been determined by the race director as unsportsmanlike.
-NOTE: The Race Director can inspect your truck after you complete the race..

RACE DIRECTOR: The race director will have the final say for all race relate issues.

Any other changes to these rules will be explained at the drivers meeting before the race.

Is this the same as the "100-gate dash" that is on Saturday, or is this a different event?

Same thing, this is the fancy official name along with the full rules.
