| ~The Scale Shop~ PPC Scale Chassis Series! (mods it would be greatly appreciated if this thread would be allowed here, since these are "scale parts" and would be lost amongst all the TVP chassis in the other section ) TSS is proud to announce its new PPC Series, or Price Point Chassis Series! This new line of chassis has more features than ever, yet at literally half the price. This line of chassis is available from TSS for two of the most popular scale bodies ever, the Tamiya Hilux and YJ Wrangler. The PPC Series Includes: 1/8" Aluminum Rails Black Anodizing Delrin Skid and Braces Stainless Steel Hardware and CAD designed for the Specific body. Price: $49.99 + shipping Hilux Chassis: Designed for a perfect fit with either Leafs or 4 links. Features inboarded rear shocks to keep them below the stock bed line. Front shocks are vertical for a true to scale appearance. Multiple mount options for everything for individual adjustments and varying parts. 11.3" Wheel base to match the body exactly. YJ Chassis: Designed for 4 Link only. I wasnt pleased with the look of the shackles right below the bumpers with the short WB and overhangs of this body so i designed it for use with 4 link only. But customers have already found ways to mount up leafs and have made them work great. Features vertical shock mounts front and rear and plenty of adjustments everywhere. 10" Wheel base to match the body exactly. If you have any questions feel free to PM or post. Current Inventory: Hilux Chassis: Sold Out YJ Chassis: Sold Out Shiping is $9.99 Per Chassis. Last edited by STANG KILLA SS; 07-04-2013 at 07:30 AM. |

as with most chassis, servo mounts, links, body mounts etc are up to you to fab ;) i personally bolt velcro mounts to the top of the shock towers, typically in a 1" wide large downward facing "C" bolted at both ends. |

This chassis does work very well for the YJ body. I like that it follows the lines of a real YJ frame. Body mounting is easy, Aluminum L bracket off the rear cross member and a inverted U bracket across the front shock towers up front with velcro. This how both Eddie and I did ours Servo can be frame mounted as well |

killer pics mike. thanks. btw your chassis is backwards but whatever works for you. (the overhang on the front of the body is shorter than the rear, the short side of the chassis was designed to mimic this. im suprised you were able to get the WB as close as you did. upon inspection, it appears eddies are backwards too.) BACKWARDS???? Haha Well With the Leafed YJ I had to put it that way or it would be leafed in the rear. And it actually lines up great. I did it that way in the 4 linked YJ also because I used the front (rear ) crossmember to mount the body directly. Someone on www.rcjeeps.com was building one the "correct" way but was having some issues with things (it was his RC4WD axles I believe NOT chassis issues) so I suggested turning the chassis around and he built his that way too. So It looks like it is MORE versatile than originally planned out! The next one I build I did plan on building it up proper Great chassis for a super price! |
