Default ~C.L.A.W. v2 winch~ video tutorial for replacing line!

Center Of Mass Designs the C.L.A.W. Winch.
CrawLer Automatic Winch
1/10 scale remote controlled powered winch
Constructed from aluminum, alloy steel and stainless steel, NO PLASTIC parts in this winch.
Each winch is hand fit, assembled, painted and tested.

This Winch is made to handle the demand of the RC rockcrawler with free spooling action.
I am running the original prototype winch on my Power Wagon ( since Nov 2008 ),
I have done countless pulls and I have not replaced a single part.
That's right the original motor and gear box. (see video for a 6 minute continous use demo) Truck is 6.75lbs

Default lifetime warranty on all mechanical winch parts

I warranty all mechanical winch parts for life!

I don't warranty the line, controller or the gearmotor assembly.

gearmotors are $22 painted and shipped

Thanks for asking.

Looks great and scale. By any means, is the winch waterproof? Will it function if submerged in the water?

Thanks, I spent a lot of time working on the scale looks and durability of this winch.
I do not recommend running underwater, however if your winch is submerged for extended periods the illustrated service manual shows how to disassemble clean and lubricate your winch.

How much weight is the cable rated for? I have a 3racing winch and the cable broke easily.

Are you sure you are talking about the CLAW winch? My winch controller does not have any buttons on it. Perhaps you are meaning the 3racing winch instead?

A little off topic. Do you plan on making more snatch blocks?

Is your third channel a three position switch? If not this may have something to do with it. Not real sure how the CLAW winch is wired up.

I've been meaning to but free time has been drastically limited. I will post up when I do.

Been loving mine, especially once I sorted the free spool working off a micro servo
Only thing I've found is replacing the line is a awkward as you have to remove the winch completely to do it.

Keep up the good work

Oooh question, is it possible to run it at a higher voltage to speed it up?
