Great idea. Honestly overlooked the front. I like it.

The problem with front mounts would be mounting location. I can see it requiring drilling a hole, which I try to stay away from in general. Might be the only practical way though. I would sell them configured as front set, rear set, or set of four. Based on the rubber each set will likely be around $18 now, $35 for front and rear.

I'll get that today. Just sold my Dingo body and my other one is more of a beater. Before those go for sale, though, I'll get a (I'm thinking) new Wrangler on there.

Thanks Mat, I appreciate it! Hope to have these ready in 3 weeks or sooner.

I post these photos reluctantly as the body is all but lacking in the back part. That and it's narrow, not necessarily portraying the flaps in the most realistic fashion.

Started working on the front today. I have two concepts for the front. One is pretty clunky and will cost more to produce, but require no drilling (rather it clamps onto the frame). The other is very similar to the rear and would require drilling one hole on each side. Curious, without seeing them, if you guys would be in large favor of one style over the other? I understand that drilling a hole in the rails might be a turn-off, but in this case it might result in a sleeker product.

I like these and would have no problem drilling a couple of holes to mount to the front.

most bodies on an SCX10 are narrower then the outside of the wheels. hell with the dingo's and the jeeps the wheels stick out past the extended flares.

I'd do a set of... say gun metal or brown/rusty.
this is my first time seeing this thread. I like the idea and would love a set for my bronco. Will you post on this thread when sets are available? What about pre-orders?

bvrc, I will post a thread both here and in the new products section when they're available. Pre-orders are fine with me. I'm more than happy to get you down with pre-payment or not. I can put you name down and shoot you an email/PM when they're out. I hope to finish the CAD for the front set tonight and I'll post those when I'm done. No final product pics until my new model body arrives.

In regards to pre-ordering, I'll work on adding a product page for these to my site tonight/tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately I'm limited to white, black, red, blue, green, yellow and semi-transparent. Some of these might look pretty tacky, but if there's enough interest then I'm game. I'm really excited about the positive attention this is gathering. Looks like these will do well.

I really like the look of these. I would only run the rears though. How much for just rears and when do you expect them to be out?

I'm HOPING $18-$19 for just a front OR rear set. $35 for front AND rear. Test rubber arrives Monday. Will have a batch of these first ones to test Tuesday or Wednesday. Ideally they're for sale in a week. I'm not concerned about the fronts needing revision as they're based on the rears which turned out really well first draft. The only delay might be on the rubber as I haven't received a sample yet.

For the sake of pre-orders, on my site I will list a lead of 1-2 weeks.

Stupid mistake. Rubber came today and it was orange. I read "plain back" as "plain black". Tried again. All the sets of mounts are completed and will arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. By Thursday the new rubber should be here. Fortunately the orange rubber wasn't a complete waist. Get to practice cutting and punching holes. Decided 1/16 was too thick too.
