Default 1:6 Rubicon

shots some more vids today of the Rubicon, clod based so I know some don't like to call that scale. But it looks the part anyways...

Last video here i broke another freakin' axle... ended the day early YET again. This time a HotRacing CVD too... unreal. Someone needs to make a clod CVD 8mm thick all the way thru -- not just the axle stub part. I can't stop breaking expensive axles... Brushless power sucks in that respect. I didn't have this problem when the rig was brushed 55T's (just had all kinds of rf feedback instead ). Next time i'm dropping down to 3s or 2s. 4s lipo crawls great and gobs of power, but busts axles like they're made of balsa...

i think it looks badazz the rims don't do it for me and the fourwheel steering but other than that it looks killer ,suspenssion looks like it works very well and you can't tell it has clod axles everything looks really clean good job.

Default .

hey thanks warrior!

you thinking the rims overall just look too big (not enough tire sidewall) or you don't like the chrome plastic inserts?

I was really thinking of going to a 2.2 wheel and 2.2 RockCrusher tire. But i didn't want to take away from how well it crawls... and the Masher/40series is a bit over 6inches tall where the 2.2 Crushers are 5.5inches tall.

Although with the current state of breaking axles - a smaller tire might help reduce breakage... so i'm definitely considering it for now. I went to SO much trouble hacking up the alum rims and narrowing the Mashers twice (not narrow enough the first time around), so i hate to drop 'em for the crushers. But i do think the crushers would look cool. I think rc4wd makes another 2.2 that is about 5.5inches tall as well, RockStompers... I think i like how the stompers look better than the crushers actually

Thanks again for the kind words
