Default SCX10 Crawling to the Summit

A quick climb to the summit with the Axial SCX10 crawler. Powered by HobbyWing's BL Justock Brushless System ESC/Motor (XERUN-17.5T 1900 kv) Combo. This sensored system works very well with the SCX10. Battery used was the Gens Ace 2s 2200 25c.

Very nice! What kind of wheel speed do you get out of this setup? How much run time do you get with that 2200? SOrry for all the ?'s.

Thanks, I now have the truck geared 12/87 vs 20/87 stock. On 2s I have a slightly faster than stock speed and on 3s it moves right along. I tried 20/87 gearing on 2s and 3s. With 2s it was twice as fast and 3s was down right silly(maybe 20mph). The slightest turn would send the truck rolling and cart-wheeling across the yard. Run time is 20-30min. with 40% battery left. Very happy with Hobbywing stuff.

Just be aware that those motors are not sealed, so you can't run them in water or mud.

That is correct. Motor has a cooling fan and runs very cool. I don't know if you actually need the extra cooling on a crawler so it may be fine with the cooling holes blocked off. I run brushless motors in my boats and they don't mind getting wet internally but they are not full of mud at the same time.
