| short vid of Willys creek crossing
I got new editing software so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm not too impressed, there's a total loss of fidelity. The RAW file looks great but after it gets edited the HD is lost. I don't know what I'm not doing right. Last edited by BigSki; 07-29-2012 at 04:16 PM. |

| Re: short vid of Willys creek crossing Thanks, I have so much fun with this rig, it's the only one I have right now. Thank You. The Jeep is a plastic Hasbro Jeep from 2001, made for a 12" tall G.I.Joe action figure. Find a body and get busy! You won't have this much fun with anything else. I wish I could show you how clear the RAW file is when I play it back on my laptop, it looks like I'm back in the woods filming instead of watching on the screen. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. The software is Arcsoft 'Stars' so it supports the .MOV file that my PlaySport captures in. |

The first video I saw of 1/6th scale Jeeps fooled me for a minute, I thought they were real until the camera got closer. Because they were just a bit more wiggly, bouncy, body-rolly, than a 1/10th scale rig could ever be. Once I realized what I was looking at it sent me on an internet search. An hour later I knew I had to build one. Orange Jeep is looking ready for action. Hopefully we can get some trail running in this weekend! Last edited by Big Mike; 07-31-2012 at 08:17 AM. | |

| Re: short vid of Willys creek crossing I'm happy with the way the Swampers are staying on the steel wheels, between them and the foams I made, the Jeep has never handled this well before and I haven't had a single thermal shutdown this summer, so I think I have the overheating issue solved. The orange Jeep is as ready as it can be. Be sure to bring your video camera!
