Bleary eyed from a late night editing session, but at last some trailing with the Rubicon. More to follow soon |

| Re: 4WheelRC's SCX10 build: 'Project Lighting'. Thanks 355C Hey, we would probably have found the minions by now if Peeta wasn't so impulsive! Just as soon as Katness has fixed the mess he made of the Rubicon's roof we'll be out again looking for them, but this time with a competent navigator |

This video of a recent London Scale Trail Runners ('LSTR') competition event includes a few clips of my Rubicon in action ( @1:20, 7:25, 10:05, 22:38 ). Shame about my learner driving, but I'm working on that! |

I think that a far more significant improvement in handling for my heavy rig (9lb) has come from switching to closed cell foams. I tried the 2 stage open foams that come with the PBs and they are definitely better than the super soft stock Axial foams (which crush and make the tire rollover the rim if you so much as look at them). But then going to some Deuce's Wild foams from Crawler Innovations (which I have custom cut some more to fit my stick on wheel weights) is like night and day. Side hilling is massively better now and overall control improved by keeping the tread open | |

A few folks were asking so... This is how I mount my GoPro to my SCX10 for on-board shots: |

I'm forever using magnets, pretty little magnets everywhere How to magnet mount accessories on your RC model for a clean look and easy removal... Just be careful how much weight you add up high as you might mess up your centre of gravity a bit. |

Hey folks! Now that I have been driving the Rubicon a few times (including Class 2 competitions) here are my '1st thoughts' and some issues that need fixing... A few more update videos will follow once I have worked through suspension issues, wheel weights, tyre & foam etc. set-ups: |

The Castle Creations Sidewinder 3 speed controller had to go: I never planned on using it in the SCX10 and as it is not a sensored brushless motor controller the very low speed control is not great, plus is it very noisy at low speeds. As I wanted to try out waterproofing using epoxy resin I thought I'd try a very cheap 'X-Car' brushless sensored ESC from HobbyKing... ... I have been running the X-Car ESC for a couple of months since filming this and overall it works great. But the 30% of throttle maximum drag brake is just not enough to hold my approx. 9lb truck on steep slopes But I have a solution in the works |

Katness & Peeta are continuing their shake down rides with the Rubicon. Before they return to Sector 7 to find the mutated minions, they try the shocks in 'droop' and extra equipment in the trailer |

After a lot of driving & tweaking of my SCX10 Rubicon recently, its back to the 'studio' to start recording some updates. Hope this is useful... |

Finally solved the nasty bump steer caused by my Chassis Mounted Servo The fix was not trying to reduce the angle of the drag link (although this helps), but instead needing to run it parallel to the panhard bar... |

Okay, so not the most exciting SCX10 build video I have ever done but hope it is useful if you are considering these upgrades... |
