| New boat and scratch built trailer :)
So I don't have too many friends that are into RC stuff like I am. I thought there may be more appreciation for, or interest in my project here I bought my trailfinder 2 in the spring and have since really enjoyed running it around. I love trying to pick good lines and overcome odd paths and such. Plus it's a great way for me to connect with my boy as he's getting right into this too. I had seen several YouTube vids of scale trucks launching boats from trailers and thought it was a total riot to see. At that pint just HAD to get a boat. I started out with helicopters but after a recent crash with my 600 size I decided to stick to surface for a while and sold all I could from the carnage in order to fund a boat. So recently I acquired a Proboat Shockwave 26 V3 BL. A tad small for the proper scale on the TF2 but I really couldn't afford much more than that. Once I got the boat I was working on a trailer within a week. I did document my build and put a vid together with that as well as the first launch and recovery of the boat. I must say, for never having built really ANYthing from scratch before, I'm quite pleased with the results. Seeing as the TF2 is my first real RC truck, the Shockwave is my first boat and the trailer was my first scratch build, I'm very pleased with the results. I'm hoping to perhaps get other models in the future that I will be a lot more attentive to detail with and keep in a much more "polished" condition. You'll see in the vid that my truck is clearly a beater haha! At any rate, I know it's a lot of text, but can't help myself, I'm somewhat tootin' my own horn here even though I know this is very entry level. Hope you enjoy the vid, thanks for reading! Ok, so theres a tf2 in the pics, but why in the world would you post this in the tf2 forum? Isn't their already a place/thread for trailers? Just my $0.02 |

Look at that! Suppose it's easy to find when you know where it is ;) I totally wouldn't be offended if a mod moved my thread. I just didn't realize there was an actual thread FOR trailer builds haha! No foul intended, apologies for unnecessary/undesireable clutter. ...of course I didn't post the pics... my .02 |
