Default TF2 Anti-Wrap bar install & review

Howdy!
In this vid, I go over the installation and basic review of the blue monkey anti wrap bar. I did this vid, as there was not very much information to be found about these, and what do with the setup once you got it.

I bought this kit from scaleaddict.com - great guy to deal with for sure, recommended if you want to pick up a kit for your TF2!

Hope this vid helps some folks out - and I highly recommend this kit, its great - keeps your suspension articulation, but completely eliminates wrap!

Nicely done! Thanks for the demo.The before and after was amazing! There was considerably more axle wrap than I would have thought.

Thanks!
Yea, it's surprising how much abuse those leafs put up with and how little they actually distort compared to what you see happening. Should make a nice difference in the rocks in those tight situations.

Thanks rockcrawlin and kaneohecrawler!
And yes, an amazing difference! Got the truck out today, and the difference is noticeable on the rocks and in general - seems almost like a must have item.

In the part where it showed the leaf spring "wrapping" you have your helper springs on the top, if they were on the bottom it wouldn't wrap as much

*edit* thought I saw both on top, I see you have one on top and one on bottom. But the anti wrap bar def worked well!

looks like a great kit and looks like it has taken the wrap out. I do wonder how much it effects the suspension travel. when a leaf springs compresses they move the axle back slightly, That's why movable shackles are installed on the rear of the springs, with the bar hard mounted on the chassis and axle I think it would bind up the leaf on that side. I made my own style of anti wrap bar for my scx10 and it had a shackle style mount on the chassis side.

I would be interested in a vid showing a compression and articulation test

I know exactly what you are saying - I had the same thoughts, and was surprised to find that it indeed didn't bind at all. Will have to do a follow up vid as you suggest, as I hadn't thought to include that in the original vid.

Thanks for the feedback - and will work at getting that vid here in the next day or two range.

Here is the follow up video showing the flex as requested - a bit delayed, but here nonetheless!

)

Also included was a closer shot of the anti-wrap bar from the side and underneath.
