I can't believe that thing just climbed straight up that rock that's got to be like 50- 60degrees hard to tell. I work on roofs lot and I can hardly stand on a 45degree shingle roof wearing skateboard shoes!

I second that! How in the world did your Ascender climb that rock? What's your chassis and setup look like? You have to have a lot of forward weight bias.

Next time I am there I will measure the angle, it is a surprise that it can make some of those climbs, hence why it's my test track. After any changes I go there to see if it will still make em!
After adding spare wheel and ground anchor in the back and disconnecting battery tray from front axle it is slightly less capable now.

Finally a use for this angle finder! Is been stuck to my garage wall for years.

The first pic show the steep bit at the bottom 65 deg. my crawler cannot climb this part, I have to give it a squirt of power and jump up it.


This part is where I gotta stick the landing 59 deg. back off the power just enough. It's on the limit, 1 front wheel in the air.



The higher you go the easier it gets.

Woohoo my guess was close!! I successfully used the squirt it up to the easier part of the rock trick to climb something just yesterday. we'll call it the "stealth squirt" lmao
