Default Harley's FJ X-Trail

Harley’s Newest Project

The Crawler Store

Presents the Newest Product in Affordable Scale Products

LEAF SPRINGS

What is so new about leaf springs?!?!?!?!?

NO SHACKLES NEEDED!!!!!!

These innovative leaf springs bolt on to your X-Trail scale chassis with only one hole needing to be drilled per leaf. The front and rear eye of the leaf spring ride on aluminum bushings that help aid the sliding motion. The rear slot takes the place of a traditional shackle. By eliminating the shackle we will be able to offer you a complete leaf spring kit for a VERY affordable price.

The leaf springs are designed to give you an 11" Wheelbase

The wheelbase can be stretched a little from there but the optimal maximum setup is 11".

We will be offering these in several different thicknesses, prototype testers will be available very soon on www.tcscrawlers.com

I will try to post a link to them as soon as they are up on the site.

I still have tons to do on the truck. These pictures pretty much just show it in the state that it was when I picked it up from Dinky R/C.

The sheet metal bumpers are freaking amazing! Matt did an amazing job. The price he charges may seem a little steep to the naked eye but if you ever get to own one for yourself you will understand. I went over to Matt's several times during the build and talked to him on the phone about it several times so I know how much time he has in these. For the price I feel like I stole them.

The rear tire carrier latch is amazing, Matt carved the handle out of a chunk of billet aluminum and hand fabricated every single little part in the mechanism.

The roof rack is another work of art. Each piece was carved from a 1/4" chunk of aluminum again. The cross bar are also freaking amazing, I just haven't taken a great picture of them yet.

You can see the cross rails in this picture

Looks like I'll be placing a big order with the CrawlerStore soon. All these new parts look great

How strong are these new leafs and what are they made from? These won't be breaking all the time like the old Diaz leafs will they?

The leafs are made from Delrin. I have not had any breakage yet but I have not put much drive time on it yet.

That is the reason we will be doing the test springs on the site. They will be made available at a reduced price so that you can try them out and give us some feedback. We did initial testing already but this will just be to fine tune them to the customers wants/needs.

No, the product will be done in a limited run so the lights will have to be sourced by you. They are not too hard to find though. We are producing these simply because the CAD work is already done and if a handful of people want them then why not make them available.

I will post a link as soon as I know more.

Here are a few more pictures:

The grill will get installed soon, I just need to put the headlights and grill mesh in first.

The lights that are pictured are LED "Reading lights" that I bought at Walgreens, they are 2 for $3.

I will not have prices for anything until they are cut and put up on the site. As soon as eveything is available I will post links to the products.
