really I would say out of there current stable of kits the rc18 fits the bill the best for what they have described.

I would rather see a slash sized version myself but I highly doubt they will follow traxxas leadership that fast.

Sounds? Did someone tell you something?

RC10.com is their site, for even their RC18T and their RC8...so that is no good proof.

Also I have good information on it being based on the RC18T.

The 18T is a solid platform, but 1/10 would be way cooler.

Hopefulle AE will release more info soon. I have to add though, I am happy as can be with my Slashes. Having the metal gears in the tranny has sold me on this truck. And the general scaleness just rocks.

think of how ITTY BITTY the tread blocks would be if it were itty bitty itself. then again, what do any of our thoughts matter until it is officially released?

I would rather it be 1/10th too, but if it does end up being RC18T based, this would be HUGE for our club for winter indoor racing for the same reason the Slash is good for outdoor racing. We can get new people involved cheaply and because the wheels are enclosed, sloppy racing is more forgiving

Let me put it this way. The current CORR truck on the market make a great step forward in realism compared to what existed before. Would you like to see that same step taken again?

There should be new official information shortly.
Few little tidbits Rick Hohwart dropped over on RC Tech. I think I'll hold off on that second Slash for juuuust a bit.

Associated posted this on www.rc10.com a few days ago and it was labeled SC8-web-banner-800x310_1.gif .

Someone caught the SC8 portion and posted it on RC Tech. It must have got Associated's attention as it is now listed as SC51-web-banner-800x310_1.gif .

So seeing as the Slash is closer to 1/8 scale that 1/10 scale, I'm thinking it stands for Short Course 8 ????

*IF* the new Associated truck is 8 scale, can I get some odds on whether it will be nitro or electric? I've alread put my vote in that this truck have some well thought out way of being changed from 2wd to 4wd (pro2, pro4, makes sense!) but everyone seems up in the air about what will power it. If this is a wicked 8 scale electric truck, then Associated has been listening to me complaining about the lack of sizable capable electric offerings in the R/C world.

I STILL don't see anything about a new truck. all I see is a picture of the Red Bull car showing off its associated stickers for the ad. am I blind?

oh and it would be retarded to base it off of the rc18t with an enclosed body it would be a square body! Maybe the 18r, but still a little wide.

Must be, because the truck in that pic is not a 1:1 CORR truck.

You are right. "Stop Dreaming. Start Driving." means that AE is going to let everyone drive their 1:1 sponsored CORR truck. Why release a R/C version of something when you can just let anyone drive the real one?

Look at the tires and bumper. Does that look like a 1:1?

There is also this image on another page... scale CORR truck for sure.

On a side note, I caught a CORR race on NBC last weekend and saw a TRAXXAS commercial for a Slash... that has got to get a lot of attention.
