Default Carver's MThead comp rig

Finally got around to this build, It will be my 2009 series contender. So far I have got a roller, I will be installing the electronics as soon as I get some free time. Some HB Rovers are on there way and will be hitting the rocks soon. Check it out!

nice looking build so far. you know you have your tie rod installed wrong right? you're supposed to re-drill the knuckles so the tie rod mounts much closer to the axle tubes and gearcase.

Yeah, I know that. This was much easier to do and I did not want to lose steering angle.

You will actually turn sharper, cause it makes the Ackerman angle better. That's why its wider. Your outside tire will come around farther.

Nice build so far. On mine I filed a angle on the outer edge of the lower link slot on the skid plate. So the lower links dont bind up and can move freely.

Thats weird I was looking at raul dukes and, Correct me if i'm wrong dave it looked as if he lost some sterring angle.

There was no binding on my rig there. Only were the shock cup meets the lower link does it rub a little but, Not enough to stop articulation.

I like everything but the oversized rear lockers. Too much drag possibility.

I have my tie rod in further and it has better steering than my sons in the stock location.

nice comp berg very clean job. Didn't the 2 top guys in the series run bergs aswell. I'm building a 2.2 comp clod to try since I just don't have the money for the bergs right now but wish I did. See ya at the first comp.

exactly, and they are still no larger than the stock knuckle. plus they have no play at all

Nice build, dont sweat the lockouts i have them and have yet to bust them up. .No drag possibilty unless your in some wicked upside down opsie daisy angle .

What wheels are they ?

i use those same lockouts and not once in any situation have i ever even hit them . so that being said keep on keepin on!!!!
