Default P.A.R.C 2009 Season !! IMPORTANT !!

Howdy All, At the Crawl-B-Que we talked about several things important to our club.

First up, next seasons comp dates. All but the first date are open for discussion but we do need to finalize them ASAP. Here goes...

Jan 25th
Feb 15th
Mar 1st
Mar 29th
Apr 12th
Apr 26th
May 17th (Nationals Qualifying cutoff)
SUMMER BREAK
Aug 30th
2009 Nationals
Sep 20th
Oct 18th
Nov 15th
Dec 6th

There are a lot of big comps during the summer, like both the Proline and Axial comps. It would be nice to see a strong PARC performance at these West Coast events. I know we have it in us !!

Speaking of big events...One of the other topics discussed was a PARC sponsors national level event. This would require the club to get organized another topic discussed, I'm just going to list what we talked about.

-National level event, Spring Nationals @ New Papago !!!, or something like that.
-PARC Board members-Officers prez, vice prez, ect..
-Comp directors 1.9, 2.2, Supers
-1.9 Class, I like it !!!
-Pubic relations
-Judging rotation
-Photographers
-Web director
-PARC website, Jim and John are working on a simple website to post season dates and locations w/maps and current points standings.
-Club dues, PARC does not currently charge club dues. These would be used to buy supplies, maybe T-shirts, website, ect..
-Sponsors, all levels.
-New score sheets, one sheet for each driver.
-Comp rules, this has seemed to come up more as of late.

Our club has been around since the start of RC rock-crawling and we've really started to grow with crawling gaining momentum in the RC world. Comp attendance is way up from seasons past and many of us think it's time to take the club to the next level.

Default Club Changes

I thinkthat with the size of our group now, that change is required to keep the comps themselves running smoooooth.

I have no problems with the individual score sheets or dues. I am not one to know much about Pesidents, Vice Pres. etc, but sound like it is somthing that will help the group and comps.

I like the idea of a single judge, timer at each course. Definetly somthing that we will have to agree on and select the positions for each comp or grouping of comps.

Time to chat it up!

Default Challenges in Change

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in real quick.

Good job on realizing its time to go to the next level with your club!! it makes a big difference in your club and at the comps. As well as having other members who can/will do things to help the club grow and organize. Just keep in mind when you select your board, that these members you select have the time to fullfil their duties. We(SARCCA) has a great board in place but it did not happen without some adjustments. So keep in mind when making these growth changes you will have to make adjustments along the way and the most important thing to remember is this all for fun!! When it seems like it has become a second job, it has, but a fun job!!

Good Luck Guys!! Have Fun!!

Everything that mike has said at the top sounds good to me. I would not mind paying dues to help out with supplies. I have no problem judging and keeping time. I wish we had a a comp that started a week earlyier, is that possible? Sorry I could not make it over mike I was over in NM at the father in laws with the wife and child. He has a shit load of nice rocks in has yard, so I got a lot of crawling in over the weekend.

Everything said so far is important. We need to get organized so
we can continue to grow our Club, and keep things fun at the same time.
This is the time and the place to post up any ideas. Everyones thoughts
are needed. As a group we need to look at anything to better our Club.
One big thing we need is more locations to have our Comps and Gtgs at.
All of us should keep this in mind, and keep a lookout for new locations.
I am for keeping things as simple as we can. We have gotten to large to
keep things running smooth. Change is needed. I will do what ever I can
to help in anyway.
We need to pick a location and Start Time for the Jan. 25th Comp. ( New Papago?)

i agree to all of these things
things i see a must:
singe score sheet per driver
rotation of judges/timers
scouting for new comp locations whether they be off the side of the 51 freeway, near or far take pictures and post them up
AND TAKING THIS CLUB TO THE NEXT LEVEL COME NATS AND WEST COAST CHALLANGE EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHO P.A.R.C. IS

this all sounds good to me i think we need to start following the rules a little tighter like measureing wheel base of each rig and i have an idea that ppl sign up to be a judge before the comp begins like on the threads for the comp. i have no problem helping out but i will also not be around for the whole season most likely. i really like the idea of each person has there own score sheet so you can run when you please cause some courses i kinda like to watch ppl run. thats all i gots to say right now if it made any kind of sense

We dont have a "club house" but we are a club. there are 2 ways to search for a P.A.R.C. comp location. type it into the search bar on this site or go to tcscrawlers .com. tcs should have most of them but the site has all of them!

p.s. we crawl all over!

Default comp spots ?

How far is to far to go to a comp spot. I know we go to table mesa rd. How about having one down closer to me (Maricopa, the town not the county) we have found some good spots to have comps as well as scale crawlin. There are some pics of us crawlin around in one of these treads. let me know other wise I am ok with everthing as long as I get my truck fixed on time. Thanks

Insurance?

Maybe we need to have a area of "fine" print at the bottom of the score sheet that says - "By holding this score sheet, I am attending at my own risk."

If the Spots are that good I would have no problem driving that far.
Things we have to keep in mind: Are we allowed to be there. How is
the access to the crawl spot, and is there enough parking for a Comp.

Default comp spot

it is really not that far depending where you are comming from. May be before the actual comp we should get some people together and see if it is a worthy spot to comp at.
