| first time build! - cc01 pajero! now with a video!
hi guys, all ive done here so far is ask questions about how to go about my build, so i think i should post up a thread about the actual build itself heres a pic of the jero as it started then i started to cut out the rear lights, ready for see thru lights and LED's then i made rear lights out of a milk bottle and some sweet wrappers :P heres what they look like off, held in with tape, will be properlly fixed in once its painted and on ( i used a torch behind as i dont have the LED's yet, you get the idea) finally, started to sand the body down ready for priming and painting! still to come: -new paint, something matt, maybe army-esc -roof rack with stuff in it -new wheels and tyres -proper spare wheel on rear -fit the LED's -sort out the electrics so it will run! eventually il mod the suspension and waterproof it thanks Last edited by DapperDan; 06-23-2009 at 01:20 PM. Wonderful work on the tail lights, it's amazing what can be made from bits and bobs, why buy it if you can make it?.

Great job on the tail lights. I did this with mine too. It only made me want to do the front blinkers also.

hi guys got some more done all wired up, i took it out for a test run, it doesnt seem to have much torque, even though apparently this is a high torque motor :S got some new wheels and tyres, nothing fancy, just ones that look nice for now :P paited the bolts silver with a krylon touch up pen i primed it, now jsut waiting for it to stop raining so i can paint it!!! and i got a proline roofrack im thinking of getting a Novak fifty-five, does anyone have this motor or know if it would be better for off roading that the super stock TZ that i currently have? |

I have that motor in my scaler works fine, so I can not complain. I can not wait to see more of this build.

55t is a pretty fast motor for the CC01. I have a 65T in mine and it runs a a good pace. Almost have to run to catch it, its that fast. I still have plenty of torque. I'm gonna go with a 75-80t in my next build. Alot of guys go with gear reduction units, most require some minor cutting to the chassis and relocation of the battery, as the motor hangs into the stock battery box location. Great job on the tail lights, love the creative thinking. |

I really like that idea for the tail lights. I might have to try that on my pajero.

i know i only updates this morning, but today the weather was fine so i got some painting done! after painting painted the front lights in, re-attached all fittings etc need a longer bolt to hold the spare wheel on. i think the rear lights turned out pretty good ricer wing mirrors :P new shocks are on the way! i promise!!! still to do: body lift, LED's, new front bullbars and new shocks. probably some other stuff. thanks for looking Last edited by DapperDan; 06-19-2009 at 03:14 PM. |

i made a video of the jero doing a bit of offroading in standard form, just as a test on how good it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONM143UWJRw since the video ive added a plate underneath to help it slide over stuff got some new shocks for the rear, and i cut the little bits of plastic out of the front c joint thingys to give it a bit more height at the front. also got a new front bull bar from a HPI savage heres some articulation shots. and a nice shot on top of a hill next step is to find a better spot to make a video with the new shocks/higher body etc! |
