Default Steering throw and Shocks

So I have been working on building my new bully the last few days. I am running into serious issues trying to figure out how to get more steering and getting the shocks to clear the gear box at the same time.

I am running the following.

Kamikaze 4.0 with mid clearence links
Losi Crawler Shocks
Vanquish DH Pro Comp rims with widest offset
HB Rovers
Futaba 9157
2 Tekin FXR's
2 HH 45T torquemaster motors

My first thought was to run some internal spring shocks but after talking to some people they couldnt suggest any good ones. I would rather not run droop due to the rip rap rock that most my comps are on.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Looks like a Great Setup.

Seems with the Bully's you have to give up a little steering, but being able to use dig should make up for it?

I feel like my Bully/KK4.0 setup has pretty good steering considering.

Looks like you have a sweet setup. Here are some pics of mine. I was wondering how to get a little more steering out of these and also try to get some shocks that did not rub the springs. I just got these shocks last week. I am not sure how they will work but they seem to be ok so far. I have not run a comp with these yet. I also am running the VP DH with the most offset.

The size of the bully gearbox and the fact that they just turn so much you will always get a little rub on the links and shocks at full lock. Shouldnt interefere enough to cause a problem.

Diamond,

Would you happen to have the HR part # for those shocks?

I also noticed that you are not running bent upper links are you getting full articulation without hitting your upperlink on the gear box? This is another issue I am running into so I am going to buy some aluminum tube today. I have a couple tube benders so I will just make some custom upper links.

The only other thing I can think to do other than replacing shocks is to go with a full or half torsion chassis.

I am able to get full articulation out of it with the placement of the links. I had to raise the links on the chassis though. It barely clears but it does not rub. This is the RC4WD diablo chassis.
I bought the shocks off of ebay. Here is the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/Tamiya-F350-Hi-L...lenotsupported
I'm still not sure how well these will do. I bought the 90mm ones but the have 100mm and so on.

Go here for info and part #s on the shocks.

I don't know who all sells them but Hobbyetc.com does.
I put the 100mm on my Bully and after alittle tweaking and adding some oil, I'm happy.

I think I figured it out after hours of messing with different spacers, clocking the axles, using taller foams, and beating my head against the wall.

Thank you Neil76 for stopping by the house tonight and giving me a second set of eyes.

Thank you everyone for your pictures and advice.
