I've had this one up my sleeve for a while. Only a couple of people have seen any pics of it at all. Decided since I have my 2.2 entry (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=194940) and it's not street legal, would need to trailer it to the TTC. This one's not completely street legal yet, but it's getting there
As for specs, built around the CrossCanyon chassis, Axial axles, tranny and shocks (drooped). 1.9 flatirons on HPI stock car wheels. Will be running a pretty basic 19t motor and probably 645MG servo. Still working on the bumpers and sliders (and the trailer!). Soft top just arrived in the mail today from mocrawler. Beauty work Terry did on this top. Anyways, some pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Need to decide on a colour for the bumpers and sliders. It's already got a lot of black on the truck with the soft top, so I was thinking silver or gun metal for the tube work. Any thoughts? Oh yeah, hood paint isn't screwed up, it's just really dusty having sat in the basement for a while

What can I say that I haven't already said on other sites and in PM's. Great looking build Chris. I REALLY like the tube bumpers and sliders
The soft top looks great, glad you added it. Makes it different from the others. Cant wait to see it in person

Finished the front bumper this morning. Now I just need to close off the ends on everything and wash, blast and sand it all.

Very cool soft top. I'd keep it simple and stay black and red.

Bumpers and sliders have been sandblasted. Now on to sanding the joints, painting and reinstalling. May get the bumpers and sliders pc'd. The place I do my sandblasting at also does a lot of 1:1 bumpers, nerf bars, etc. so they would just throw these ones in with a bigger order and give a deal. ![]() Trailer has been cleaned up too ![]()

Looks like you have outstanding parts going onto that rig. Keep us posted on your build.

great shots, i noticed theres alot of weight up front of the trailer you could turn the vehicle on the trailer around and it would be so much for the truck towing

woo hoo, looking great Chris
The painted bumpers and sliders look sweet. I wish I could be there at TTC to see them in action. I guess I'll just have to watch the video and hook up with you to do a trail ride some time.

Great looking rig and trailer and the soft top on the truck rocks. Is there a reason the axles are mounted to the rear of the trailer? If they were mounted in the middle of the trailer I think the weight would be more evenly spread out with less weight on the hitch.

Most 1:1 trailers the axles are mounted towards the rear. I do think I might have gone a bit too far back though

It's agood looking trailer that's out of scale due to the fact that the axles are to far back, and it throughs the weight on the toung with make th truck hauler tires go flat. move them and raise the rear ramp up while your at it. (your hauling rock crawlers). And while your doing al that might want to mount a tire tack on the front and some lights as well. Whos build is this anyways. Oh. Well I'll just shut up and enjoy the show.Weres the popcorn? what do mean there's no popcorn, I'll be right back.

As far as the build, I built everything you see in the pics. Mocrawler did the soft top for the yota though The trailer is actually a two piece design. The deck on the top is removable from the main frame. It should be a simple fix to just move the deck back an inch or two to move the weight back and throw the axles into proportion. As for lights and spare tire mount, not likely going to happen with me. Whoever buys this can add those touches themselves The hitch on the trailer is just a rod end screwed on to some 8-32 allthread I brazed to the end of the trailer. The hitch for the truck is some bent up steel plate brazed to some 1/4" square stock. It's removable from the truck so it won't get in the way when taking the truck for a trail ride. Nothing fancy at all. Didn't get a chance to snap outdoor pics last night. Busy with some other stuff. Tonight, hopefully!
