Default 1984 GMC Pickup

Here is my 1984 GMC Pickup. I initially was going to build a frame out of c-channel and tubing. I bought all of that stuff and realized I don’t really have the tools, yet, to build the frame how I want it. So that will have to be pushed to a later date. Since I wasn’t going to build what I wanted I figured I had to slap something together. Here it is.

I was up until 3am working on it last night. I believe I got most of the tough stuff out of the way and my fingertips are killing me. (Screwing those rod ends on is a b!$@h) Ill keep updating throughout the week as I progress

Looks pretty good.

What scale is that body? 1:20th?

It looks bigger than 1:24th for some reason.

You could lower it a bit w/ Micro-T shocks...

It is actually a 1:25th scale. Yeah i'm considering the Micro T shocks. I bought two sets just for this. I may just use the springs though so i can maintain the shock travel.

my advice is to lower it.
seriously get rid of the springs and move the top mounts of the shocks to the lower holes

Looks nice, but too high. What rods/rod ends did you use?

I believe im going to run a droop setup with spacers in the rear to maintain propper ride height. I also think im giong to lower the body more. And as shown in the pics i have alredy dropped to the lower hole and removed the upper one.
