Location: Kellogg Creek

Spot Info

Located on Lake Allatoona off Kellogg Creek Road in Acworth. Hwy 92 exit number 277 off I-75. Head east. Go 1 mile turn left at traffic light on Hunt Road. Go through 4-way stop and road becomes Kellogg Creek Road. Entrance to Payne campground on right after about 4 miles. Enter through Payne campground and head to the boat ramp. If the campground is closed go another tenth of a mile to the second entrance. At the top of the parking lot there is some steps that lead down a bank to the spot. Sometimes you may have to pay $3 to get in.

Just trying to decide which will be the smartest/closest place to get a hotel. Is the cheap one that scary?

I'm leaning towards Kennesaw going by the map.

You might want to check out some of the hotels at the exit on I-75. theres a Best Western, Holiday Inn Express ( i've stayed here), Super 8, Days Inn & Comfort Suites. They are alot closer then some of the places you listed

cartersville isnt ghetto, but its probably 30 minutes from the comp site. like speedracer said, the closest hotels are going to be the ones right off the interstate at the hwy 92 exit.

Theres a nice motel maybe a minute up the street from me, and im about 5-10 mins from kellog. Look for one in hollysprings off of hwy 5. We stayed there when we were moving and it was really nice. You guys can just follow me to kellog if you want

There is a link to a google map up top .. Go to that drop a pin and then just click get driections ... IMO google maps works better than mapquest anyway...

You better hope the weather holds out for you guys, i would hate to be stuck somewhere in lwr Pa. or in the middle of nowhere at a reststop waiting for the spring thaw!
