Default JK project.

I have wanted to build one of these for a long time, so i got the body from radio shack and this is where i am:

Havent removed paint but that is going to happen.
Shaved fenders and bumpers off.
put toolbox in the back.
Made custom windows out of clear plastic(in the back part that comes off).

Dont mind the missing mirror.

Still a wip but its coming along.

that's nice.
I have the same new bright.
Use nailpolish remover without the acetone to get rid of the mudpaint.
Where you have the toolbox in the back I will store my lipo and on/off switch . That way I do not have to remove the body to swap my battery.

keep us posted.

Looks good, I might have to try and find one of those bodies. The nail polish remover wouldn't eat the paint? You could always try brake fluid. Messy, but it works.

Your drive shafts are way extended out too much are you afraid they might just slip off.? I see you extended your rear shock towers, I did the same to mine but I still can fit my electronic box

Great build looks alot like mine

why do you guys sand all that paint, off when its 10x easier just to use some gasoline and rub it in, and it comes off like crazy

91% Iso Alcohol works to strip the paint. Takes a little work but you'll end up with near white body. Been using Iso to pull the red off of a NB.
