Default 1964 Dodge Power Wagon Town Wagon

Morning Gentlemen, I know there are a few Dodge boys over. Would any of you be interested to see the rest of this one come together ?

It started out as and idea after I found this one on line last year.

2 months ago I started this.

and as of now, its a mess..Trying to sand all of this off and redo the paint testing stage

1st was semi gloss white

Next was Gloss Purple...only because there is one of these that lives about 30 minutes from me, that I found out about later.. this one

But, like I said, its a mess at the moment, I'm going to try this color, it seems more tame..

Thank you guys, very much.

I knew there were a few Dodge boys over here, and maybe a convert or 2, or at least for a little bit.

Yes, the body is made completely of styrene sheets, so far I have used about 5 1/2 sheets of 12" X 24" X .60 and 2 sheets of 8" X 24" X .80.

The body itself, without the seats I have and maybe a few other items that I still need to build, bumpers,etc...it weighs in at 3 lbs, I am building this on the scale of a Tamiya Yota body.

And this is the size difference with my clod bodied 75 Chevy

This Dodge will be using leafed hi-lift axles, a 3-spd Tamiya Big rig transmission, a GCM T-case, and axial driveshafts, and that one company from California that has rims, tires, and 80 mm shocks. The frame is from Menards..

A few pics of the build

Thats about it, I left out a lot of pics, but you get the idea, its a mess..but its getting better, slowwly.

Default testing another color

Thank you guys, I'm glad you really like it.. Something different is always good.. especially an old Dodge.

Some new updates, not much though, mostly testing that new mythical maroon. I have been playing with fire and metal, and made some mirrors for it,,no pics of them, yet..

Is this color more fitting this ole girl ??..its only a light test coat over silver.

Yes...No.. on the color...

That is one very well built Mopar! U got some mad skills there! I'm partial to the purple and white. Another interesting combo would be a bright yellow with purple flames........oh, wait, you said you wanted to tame it down, the maroon and white look great! Whatever color you paint it, it will be a nasty rig!

WOW! once again your styrene work amazes me, this build is going to be just as cool as your other dodge truck that you built a while back. Very cool project!
