Still not sure if I'll make it to this but 24th street is a good place to crawl. Directions are here:

http://www.thecrawlerstore.com/Events.html

as well as some other locations.

We all need to agree on a location, I found a nice one today on Brown Rd. just east of Ellesworth Rd. Its on the north side of the street you can't miss the little mountain and has a BIG dirt parking area. I see if I can get some pics this week.

The junkyard is not that good of a spot to play on, it would get old quick (although it would be nice to see the 5b!). South mountain is close to the airport and you'll never run out of terrain to crawl on.

hey guys I don't know what you mean by south mountain but I was thinking either 24th street(base of south mountain) on the west side there would be a couple of hours shade...some very good crawling spots.
Or Papago park at the hole in the rock...again at least a couple of hours shade on the west side of the rock and some pretty good crawling spots.
In my opinion either one of those would be the best chance at not getting heat stroke because you would be in the shade! So in other words I will be at one of those spots for sure this weekend, does not matter which day or which one you want to crawl on , I need to crawl on some real terain.
Thanks,
Ron

Ron (az-savage) brings up a good point. And papago is easier to coordinate people to one location. The west side spots at 24th street are more difficult to find and give directions too. Do you guys want to do this at Papago then? I think I'll come out for a couple hours now. And Papago is still close to the airport for rockwerks.

I'm not much of an early riser, but if you guys are early risers the earlier the better to beat the heat.

The hole in the rock and it's surrounding areas is the best place to crawl in papago. Let's all meet there. Here is a map to it:

Yeah, I'll probably be there around that time, 8:30-9:00. I'd like to be there earlier but not an early riser.
