| G-Wagen Scale Buildup *Finally*!!
Commonly referred to as the G-Wagen, short for Geländewagen (or Cross-Country Vehicle), Most popular models include the G500, and G55 AMG. The G-Wagen was first offered for sale in 1979 and redesigned in 1990 and updated in 1997. A new version was expected for 2007, but the new R-Class will not replace the G-Wagen and it will continue to be hand built in Graz, Austria at an annual production rate of 4,000 to 6,000 units. Buildup coming soon |

Those things feel like you are driving a boat. So bloody heavy. Extremely cool, cannot wait to see more of your build.

But seriously im not building it to be "blinged out" but the body im using just causes that effect. Probably going with narrowed RPM revolvers with geolanders. If those are too big then I will go to a proline buggy tire, which will probably still look scale, like a 26" wheel with 35's hehe. | |

hey brandon, good find! where can these bodies be found? as far as the tires go, i just narrowed some imex claw dawgs and made them fit 1.9 rims. about 1/2 inch taller than the tamiya bfg's and only 3/8 shorter than the geo's. got them on the hpi stock car wheels. they look sick! they would be perfect for this project!

Hmm I will look into that, I know RyanG did that with the claw dawgs and they looked sweet! I found the body at Walmart about 3 weeks ago, and thought about it for a while then finally decided to go for it. Its a nikko truck. I just put a stampede body on it for my little bro to bash around with so I got my moneys worth after all |

Well I messed with a few ideas tonight. I think I know what im going to do as far as a frame but some people might freak Anyways mockup with the geolanders. I think I need somthing smaller for it to be really scale but then I will be giving up performance... Too many decisions to be made. Last edited by Brandon; 08-25-2006 at 11:46 PM. |

somewhere in the middle. I like to use my trucks so they have to perform well otherwise I get irritated |
