Default Jeep Grand Cherokee (Rick's Build)

Need to figure out the running hardware.

Want solid axles at both ends.
TLT axles are to wide. What are my options?

I have seen people Modify the CC-01/XC axles. Might be an option. How wide is the body though?

Before we get too far in. Where did that body come from? That's what I have as a daily driver and would be an awesome next project.

Can't wait to see this story unfold

Where did you find that body? That's going to rock! I could make a mini of my wife's rig and maybe get her into the hobby.

Size: 2.9 KB I'm pulling up a chair for this one. I love these builds. I like the look of it already with the swampers and roof rack. How wide do the axles need to be?

OHH MY!!!!!! not another one, I had to read all 20 some pages of the last one over when it got resurected (sp?). I would do the tourage rear axles, seems like they would be close. Good luck, can't wait to see some updates.

P.S. I am predicting this will be around 23 pages.

ok the body came off an R/C from Toys R Us! and the roof rack comes on it! I was thinking of doing a build with that same body but I'm not that big of a fan of the grand. I will love to see someone else built one though!

I bought that truck about 3 weeks ago, just for the body. The running gear is crap, it cost $60. The dimensions are as follows:

Overall length 16"
Wheelbase 9 1/2" - 9 3/4"
Overall width 6 1/2" - 6 3/4"

Here's a few pictures of it next to my Jeep so you can compare.

Hope this helps.
I'll be watching closely, hoping to get some ideas for my build.
