Cool Swedish Costom Crawler - The whole journey

Hi every one!
I just wanted to share my build and get som response and hints for improvment.
This is my first ever build so dont be to harsh ;)

It started out as this.

Locked the diffs using "kemisk metall" I think it is named JB Weld in english?

Testdrive with the locked diff (I wanted to feel the difference)

Time to do some serrius tinkering

One side extended

Moved up the steering-links

Sanded down the under-side of the axel

This stage cleared. 4-Wheel steering is nice.

Extended dogbones

New tires

Airholes make the car go faster

New body to

2s1p 2200 7.4V Li-Po - Lite and nice

Articulation (spelling?) quite good.

Time for a testrun

Cut and painted body.

Finaly! The motor has arrived

A litle modification to make the motor fit

Foam-cutting stage completed

Time for a testrun again!

Last picture before the stripdown

T-Maxx HD's is about to be mounted

Had to file down a litle peace of the tranny thou.

Fits nicly even whit the 87T spur.

Starting on the new Chassi!

Adaptorplate for the motor.

Like a glowe

As the skidplate I used a cuttingboard Very slippery. The wife wasent to happy thou

The chassi-sides

116 grams is not that bad

Nice fit with the tranny.

So that the driveshafts have a lite room

Not to shabby

It does look better IRL.

DONE!

Time for a real drive, not just a test-drive.

Here is a short film from the run Nothing fancy thou. Only driving in a steap slope with leaves.
Another film, very short

So what's the verdict?

That looks great, I like that you made it all yourself. You just didn't take the standard formula and make a crawler.

Thx for all the possetive feedback!

The body is bougt at a swedish store named www.rchobbysyd.nu (direct link to the body if you klick)

I had no idea that it was so hard to come by?

I've been thinking of lovering it but i'll give it a litle more time to get the feeling of having this mutch clering
The CG is a litle to high thou.

How mutch should I lower it when I do lover it?
Down to 3"? (7.5 cm)

Edit: Yeah I forgot to write, I am using the Quark 22A universal. Its a very nice esc for this app. Works grate!

First of all, Great first time build. Also great first time write up. I would lower your skid height to 3 inches and i would work on lowering the body a bit as well. These two adjustments will help both looks and functionality of your rig. Awsome job my man.

All I can say is WOW. Definately like that you were thinking outside the box w/your chassis.
