| HPI converts a WK to a crawler
Cool that HPI is showing folks how to do this. Here's what John has been up to. HPI's article with large images Same write-up on RCC, but without large images Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 07-14-2007 at 10:48 PM. |

Thanks everyone, we had fun doing it up. There are two more parts to come, each moving progressively toward a competition class crawler. |

That was a great write up, that will be an awesome link to refer people too! Should definetly be in a sticky or a sticky itself for new comers to read. Great job guys. **edit** Are you guys going to do an aftermarket chassis for stage 2 or 3? Which one if you are (just curious)? |

The shot of John standing outside the LHS is hilarious. Been there myself. Both at opening and on the drive there near closing. |

Very cool build. The part numbers and budget are very helpful. The truck seemed to lift the front left tire ALOT. Is this because of the weight distribution or is this due to soft suspension and torque? Is it managable? Can't wait to see stage two!! |

Remember this is a stock W/K so there is plenty of room to set up the shocks. adding a spacer on the right rear of the truck will keep it from lifting as easy. i didnt mess with any of the suspension, I just went out and Crawled. the next part will get it more dialed. Stay Tuned

I am new to crawlers but not to rc, so I have a lot to learn. I think this site is the most informative I have seen. I got my WK about a week ago and it is a blast. Soon I will start converting it to a crawler and this is just what I need. Thanks |
