Just got to ask some of the local guys around Columbia/Lexington if there are any natural rock formations to set up a good sized crawl? I have traveled fron charleston sc to Georgia and Alabama regularly and have met some of the greatest people in the RC world. If we cant offer them something other than a homemade pile of rocks they will never come. I have been to their crawls and It was insane. they mostly use parks and recreational areas. I have a few friends in the charleston area wanting to crawl and would be willing to donate our time and whatever else needed to put on a good crawl but we cant cover the state looking for spots!!. We need everyones input to make this happen. We may even be able to put on a sponsored event if we can find some natural areas to do this. The creek looked good but The water is a scary thought. COME on guys I have seen more posts here about not having anybody crawling than anywhere else. GOTTA TRAVEL. The Guys at Lexington Hobby are willing but they will need OUR support to make it happen. AND by the way WHERE is OUR club??

crawl at the zoo! dont know what its like till you try it. yeah there is water but there are lots of areas where there is no chance of going into water, and if it is, the amount of water is not deep enough to reach any components

Greeting from New Jersey... I was down in Greenville for the thanksgiving holiday. I brought my crawler with me...much to my wife's dismay LOL. But we took a ride to a place called Ceasars Head...I'm sure you guys know about it...but it was only like half hour from the in-laws house in Greer and there was some bad ass crawling at the scenic overlook half way to the top of the mountain. You guys should check it out. Great for all classes...and probably one of the best scale spots I have ever seen.

I think turbo is referring to the Bald Rock overlook. It gets alot of visitors, but there's tons of exposed rock around there. A bunch more on the other side of the road, but it's private land.
