Default Any crawlers in Gville/Sptbg?

I'm getting back into rc after about 10 yrs leave. I'm done with nitro and the only "speed" I need is just some backyard bashing. I've found out there is a whole new area....crawling. Seems pretty cool, I'm definately a tinkerer. Crawling looks interesting as well as challenging. I'd like to hang out with a crawler or two for an afternoon to see what it's all about and if it's as addicting as it looks on youtube. Anybody in the area willing to introduce me to the real deal one afternoon?

PS. I've got a Slasher w/ VXL and a couple of 2s....I'm always up for some good ole bashing too!

Yeah, there is a few of us around. Not many on here though. I am a little further south in Anderson. We have built a crawling course down here that we try to have at least one comp a month. Then there is Hobbytown in Greenville that has been saying for 3 months that they are going to build a indoor course but it has not happend yet. There are good places all around to go. Me and my wife go to a great spot in downtown Greenville. Sometimes people form Hobbytown go as well. If you need anything or have any questions, feel free to ask. You can always go crawling with us if you want to.Jason

If you (or anybody else) know your gonna be in Greenville during the weekend, send me a PM. Also, let me know about the competitions in Anderson, it would probably be worthwhile drive for me to check it out! Crawling looks interesting, I'm just trying to decide if it's for me before I start dropping some $$$ into it. I'm just wanting to see what it's about first hand.
Stopped by Hobbytown the other weekend. I was kind of dissappointed because I was in the mood to look and touch. Seems a lot of their shelf space is now some sort of indoor track areas.

Yeah, Hobbytown is a big letdown. Rob needs to step up the plate and relize that Crawling is the fastest growing part of RC right now. Did you get you a crawler yet?

Haven't gotten one yet. Still doing my research. I'd rather try and get it right the first time. Maybe I should post another one of those "Which one should I get?" questions in the Newbie forum.

I can't really go out and play during the week, I don't usually get off work in time to do much before it starts getting dark. Weekends are a different story, no work and all play.
Let me know time/place if you're gonna be out this weeknd. I'd love to stop by for a few minutes and check it out.
