Default Slash Thread

I figured we need a Slash thread so we don't clog up the other threads. Post pics, videos, setups, questions, anything Slash related!

It depends on what you plan to do, race or bash (or both, lol). I am not a fan of aluminum on fast RCs, it will only send the stress of a crash to the next thing down the line, just my opinion. Proline has beadlocks, tires, and bodies. And there is always brushless........

Rcslot.com has the best prices but sometimes they just dont have everything i need instock. If that is the case I go with tower hobbies.

Kevin, you really didnt need to weather it, racing will do it for you! LOL! Looks good! I wish I could join you at Bandits, I have my Nitro RS4 ready for the dirt oval!

I have registered over there and have looked at a few threads. I just check this one more often. I kinda wish they would do a "Spec class" section too. Not everyone wants to run modified chassis and BL systems. Just a thought...

Feel free to start a "Spec Slash" thread in the Slash section, send me a PM after you do and I'll sticky it.

OK, since we all pretty much have Slash's now(I don't think Ryan does yet but I bet we can peer pressure him into one) when are we going to get together for some racin' / bashin' with them?

Well, we have a few choices. We have a track here in Sumter right beside Shaw AirBase. The Hobbytown in Columbia holds parking lot races on Sundays. Jeff has some pretty nice clay pits in Hartsville (kinda hard to get to without atvs or golfcart). Im sure there are some more places in Columbia, just gotta see whats out there!

Got a link to the Sumter track? There's a new track towards Elgin I think right next to the BMX track. I'll try to get some info on what they have going on. If I had a Bobcat I'd make a track in my backyard.

That's the track site. It is owned by the city so its free to use unless there is a race going on during the weekend. They just ask that its left better than it was when you got there. There is a 200' dirt oval too. I ran my Slash on it and its a blast.

That's really nice looking track.
Steph and I rode up to Bandits today and I picked up their spec LiPo. Met Bryan and a couple other guys. Super nice bunch of people. I took a few practice laps and now can't wait till the race next weekend!

Well fellas, A couple of you already know but I recently put my slash to sleep. It wasn't doing all that well for a while now, I found it a new home and turns out the caregiver couldnt handle the Chaos so they had to give it back. When i got it back it looked like a used up Hooker. So I Traded it in for "something". That something Has been transformed into "something else". So I may not have a slash any more but you guys let me know when yall decide to Bash. I May Introduce you to "my little friend".
