Anyone got anything going on right now? I 'm not doing a build thread on this one but I have been working on another scaler. It's a LWB Sammie on a SCX10 chassis with a custom cage by kaetwo.

Kevin, see the difference in the size of the 1.9's vs the 2.2's.

This next picture is a side by side comparison of the 1.9 vs 2.2 rok lox.

That's a great looking Sammie, I wish I would motivate myself to find the time to try brazing and doing some of that nice tube work.
That 2.2 is way taller than I was expecting:shock:

i am currently working on a 56 f100 scx10, we should have a nice collection of scalers in the area.

Cool, Proline makes chassis extensions for the AX-10 to mount bumpers. Looks like we will have one helluva group for some trail runs!

This will be my first scale rig,so i will ask for some advise on some things when i start it."thumbsup"

I am working on a rig for my daughter that of course i will need to test and such. I am using a MRC since i had tons of spare parts for mine. I am thinking of building a second comp type rig but run it sprung with one of those RJ speed jeep bodies for a semi scale appearance. I may even waterproof it. Right now i have it built i just need to get the body and figure out why the trans sounds weird.

Its running an XL-5 with a 27 turn. I figured since Chops is doin it why not run a 3S. Seems to be doing ok. No overheating. It is a rocketship compared to the Chevy. Sounds like a Sherman tank though.

Nice"thumbsup" How are you going to drive both trucks at the same time?

I think I might try and bob the bed of my Toyota this week, it hangs me up too often.

well the body showed up and it is big like 1/10 scale and a really nice body. With that said i have ordered a L-Trail scaler chassis from TCS and going to run that. I will have to pick up some D-Shafts that are long enough i think but other than that it should turn out pretty good. Oh and i am going to have to go with stock shock in the front since the RCbros will be to large in diameter. Anyway it will be a decent first scale type build.

Thanks guys for rubbing in my face that I dont have a scaler yet. Wife has me on money restriction right now since the baby came a few weeks ago. I'm hoping I can shift some inventory (sell some shit) and get me a trail rig. But until then. I HATE ALL OF YOU."thumbsup"

DO IT!!! I am a big fan of bobbed Yotas. Guess Im just gonna have to double fist the remotes or let JKelly drive one since he hates us all. Haha. The FJ is a speed demon though. Would probably be more fun as a mudder. Might just see how far accross the river it'll go. JOMJ87 do you have any pics of your build? I would be interested to see what ya got going on.

Kev just make sure its done by sunday.

Creepin I will get some pics once i get the chassis. I have a comp version of the MRC that i had stock junk left over from so i grabbed some axles and a trans off here that were already loaded and after i fixed alot of the problems with that stuff I built the thing using a RCbros Skulz V2 chassis but when the body showed up i had to get the L-Trail because the wheelbase is around 9.5 and the Skulz wouldnt come close. As of now the pics would be the assembled Axles and stock electronics oh and a half painted body. I let the daughter pick the color and thankfully for me it is blue so i will not be out there with a pink or purple Jeep come sunday. I will take some pics of both rigs and such and throw them on here once i get to building the scaler. I wanted the Tamiya body but $100 had the wifey screamin "she is 2 and a hlaf and its a toy Jeep no WAY!!" so oh well. the RJ Speed body is nice though and thick lexan. Anyway enough ramblin'

repaint the fj. And sell/trade me those wheels.

CREEPINKING 03-08-2010 07:11 PM

I know the wheels are badass on this thing. They look like the same ones limited has on his rig above. I havnt looked around yet to see what kind they are. Im gonna paint the FJ kinda a reverse of the Chevy. Black with a white top. Im not very original.

KevMc 03-08-2010 07:46 PM

I kind of like the LR body, and I'm picking pieces of Toyota plastic out of my eyebrows as we speak.

JOMJ87 03-08-2010 08:03 PM

I like the sound of Yota plastic flying. cant wait to see the bob done.

P.S. LR body has my vote too. but the paint is pretty cool on the FJ.

CREEPINKING 03-08-2010 09:18 PM

Do or die Kev! Good luck with it. I just cant really get into the rover body. Seems too tall. Hmm might look good with the 1.55's though.
