Default Hanging Rock Pics

I know Chops and JKelley have been here quite a few times and have posted pictures before, but I figured since we have been talking so much about scale events and such that I would post some new pictures of the location. This site really doesn't seem like a good place to hold a 2.2 pro comp, but the scale aspect of this place is absolutely great. Take a look...

These are all Google Map times so take them for what they're worth...

1.5 hours from Chapin
3 hours from Easley
1 hour 15 minutes from Columbia
1 hour 15 minutes from Charlotte

Manchester State Forest has to have some good areas...especially out towards the swamp. There won't be any rocks though...the Sumter area has VERY few rocks. I have found a few scattered around in Wedgefield, but nothing worth visiting to crawl.

That's kinda what I wad thinking. We got so bored looking the other day we got our scalers and went to the ford place and crawled.

Well keep in mind theres the church down on Pike just past the Progress Energy building on the left. There are LOTS of rocks...and theres a playground with sand, and a drainage ditch that runs beside the church that could probably be fun.

That was where we were gonna go but they were having a function at the time. Has to be something around our area close. I'm gonna keep looking. Wish the county and glasscock would hook us up.

I have the guys name at the county that is over the land that the RC dirt track is on. My neighbor works with him and said to give him a call if we were interested in building something there. He said he would probably be open to the idea. I just don't know what Glasscock would be willing to do. I also don't know what kinda of crap we would be stirring up if we started dumping piles of rubble next to the track. They seem to be picky about what goes on out there.
