Somebody, anybody! I live here in Lexington and am interested in building a crawler, or twelve. I've got a few nitros so I'm not a complete noob but I'll be honest I know very little about electrics and even less about crawlers. Anybody willing to help a brother out? Any locals getting together anytime soon and willing to let me tag along and pick your brains? I'd really like to get some insight on where to start and begin building. Any takers please pm me and lets make this happen, before I fork out $ on a New Bright..........

If your looking for scale : Axial SCX10 kit.
If your looking to comp : Berg or XR. Maybe even an AX-10

The comp scene is going to be less charge and go and more research, tuning and piecing things together. The scale scene is more beginner friendly and you can bash around and upgrade as you go.

Just a lil word of advice though. Spend the next month sifting through the tons of info on here and then when the FS section is available for you, find a rig that you like. It can save you a good bit of money and you may end up with an upgraded rig.

Lots of guys in SC run both so its not that hard to get a few together for a lil rock time.

Hey folks...new here

Picked up a wraith a couple weeks ago and slowly been learning about the whole R/C scene

Have a 1:1 Tacoma that I got bored with and kind of got out of the wheeling scene for awhile...got the itch and figured an R/C would be a moderately less expensive way for me to get back out on the rocks

Couldn't decide between the Wraith and an SCX10 but figured the Wraith would be a good beginner platform

Looking forward to learning lots and lots...and hopefully getting out with yall if you ever do anything in the Columbia area

If anyone knows of decent shops other than Hobbytown USA feel free to let me know! The northeast side one doesnt keep too many axial products in stock

Hey bros, thanks for the info. Picked up a mildly upgraded Tamiya CR01 off ebay. Still looking to get a more capable crawler so I'll continue to do some research while playing with this little Bronco!

Hey,
Anyone interested in getting together for a little scale crawling/trailing, let me know. I'm in Columbia. Have a Wraith I'm almost finished with. Love to put something together with a group of guys.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hello im Chad and I'm pretty new to rc crawling. i purchased a xtm x-crawler based rig last year that was supposedly rtr minus a radio and receiver. well it showed up and wasn't quite what i was expecting. but i still have it and plan to fix everything thats wrong with it, bent spindles, broken link, and a bird nest of wiring. but here is a pic of it and i also ordered a wraith that will be here on monday.

Hi, I'm Stephen Patterson. Mine was originally an Exceed Maxstone 10, but I have been converting the whole thing to an Axial piece-by-piece. I look forward to have a GTG with you all sometime.

I am sold on those lipo batteries. I've just got to wait a while before i buy any. This hobby can eat up all of your extra money and sometimes more.
