Default Official G6/KOH/Rock Race Rules & Rigs Thread

i wanted to post up a G6/KOH/Rock Race thread so people can read the rules and post pics and specs on their scale rigs. hopefully some of the NC and GA scale guys will chime in and possibly attend a few events or host some at thier crawl spots as well.

RULES

course/rig rules: (these are NOT set in stone, just a base for the first few events until we can see what needs to change to make it bettrer)

1. 1.55/1.9 and 2.2/wraith classes (no moa)
2. must be a scale chassis (no twin vertical plate)
3. 5 minimum scale accessories (winch/tow strap reccomended)
4. scale type tires both classes (no comp tires sedonas/rovers/ect.)
5. "X" number of sections using survey tape as boundaries. each section will be marked by a numbered tennis ball gate at the entrance.
6. sections must be ran in numerical order
7. sections will be no less than 12" wide at any point
8. orange ribbon will always be on the right to note direction
9. no "hand of God" roll overs or repositions
10. no driver will straddle a boundry to get progression
11. no dig/rear steer (may change once we see these being installed more)

judges

1.judges calls are final.
2. judges will have a tow strap known as a "judges winch". theses can be used for rollovers or to help you get progression but use comes with a penalty.

skills section/bonus sections

1. skills section are mandatory
2. bonus sections are optional. time bonuses will be determined on the obsticle.

*skills section can be any task i driver is asked to perform during thier run on the course. (changing a tire, pulling an object a certain distance, ect.)
*bonus sections will be variuos obstacles. (hard climbs, rope bridge, jumps, ect.)

penalties/progression

1. section progression- 2 minutes off time total
2. boundry marker- 1 minute per tire that touches or exits boundry up to 4 minutes(if all 4 tires exit boundry the driver must re-enter the section at entrance)
3. winches- no penalty for winch mounted on rig/judges winch- 3 minute penalty
4. straddling boundry- no progression and 10 minute penalty
5. non-completion of skills section- 30 minute penalty
6. non-completion of set sections- total time on course plus 1 hour

**NOTES**

1. i added the no dig/rear steer rule. this may change if interest in it grows. anyone with these installed MUST lock them into position before running the course. use of dig or rear steer on the course will result in a DNF with the max time penalty. if we do any heads up runs on the course after the comps it will be allowed.

2. scale chassis examples- SCX10, TCS X-trail/L-trail, Scale shop, Tamiya hilift, Timberwolf, any life like tube chassis, ect.

3.scale accessories(must be an additional item found on a 1:1 rig)- winch, tow strap, hilift jack, spare tire, shovels, axes, coolers, sleeping bag, license plate, ect...

I was going for the baja look !!!!!

That was the old axles with wheel wideners that I didn't like but I'm selling the new axles I just got and never ran to get. Something a little wider thanks for all the tips

Axles and Shocks torn down, relubbed and reassembled. SLWs with the 1.9 Rok Lox mounted. I trimmed every other lug on the outer edges to see if they'll work like the TSLs

Now it's time for a few more lights and maybe a roof rack with a couple accessories in it

I've been thinking about big block style power for it but have to do some axle upgrades to handle the power. Sounds like I need to start making a list dont it
