Default SCRCC Q & A Thread

I thought this might be fun so I figured we'd give it a shot. This is how it works...and rules are subject to change. A question will be posted below...the person that answers it must provide another question to be answered. This should be kept on topic with RC Crawlers...scale trucks, comp trucks, supers, suspension setup, shock setup, tires, foams, radios, electronics, etc. etc. etc. This can also include judging, rules, course format, etc. etc. etc.

The questions don't have to be something that you don't understand...it just needs to be relevant to RCC! If you don't know the correct answer...don't answer. If you don't know the correct answer...look it up...then post the CORRECT answer AND another worthwhile question...got it? Good...let's get started...be sure to make the question you are asking A DIFFERENT COLOR so it stands out!!!

With regards to suspension setup and link geometry: What effect does moving the rear upper links UP at the CHASSIS have on traction at the rear axle?

It makes the rear push on the front more due to the fact that the link is higher so the axle wrap pushes on the chassis and provides more downfprce on the front end!

Also correct...it transfers more weight forward as well as reducing traction to the rear tires.

Where's your question?

Care to state the obvious?

Although I've never seen 18 gauge wet noodle, you can buy 18g wire through our site or other sites such as:

Robot MarketPlace - 16 Gauge Silicone Wire - Black

A gate is considered straddled if at any time the axle of a vehicle (facing in any direction) passes over any part of a gate marker and both tires of that axle are touching the ground (or any object on the ground) on opposite sides of the gate markers, it is considered a straddle and a Gate Marker penalty is assessed.

What does increasing the distance between the upper and lower links at the front axle do to the suspension geo?

It sounds that way. But that's ok, the game is to answer the questions.

Did you really forget your question again??? Just FYI...the dark blue text is VERY hard to see...

Memory foams get hard when it's COLD, and softer the warmer it gets...never a consistent set up really.

TRUE OR FALSE: Hitting or straddling a gate marker for a bonus gate during your run counts against your score while running the course regardless of whether or not you progress the gate.

While on course your crawler breaks....you start repairing it. The clock needs to _______running until repair is finished
